Summary
The RCM Analyst – Front End is responsible for the Reliant Senior Living front office functions including oversight of registrations, site education, performance monitoring, analytics and the oversight of one or more outsourced teams responsible for verification of benefits and authorizations. In this role, the RCM Analyst – Front End will represent Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to quality & service in all interactions with the communities, clients and clinic teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Enter new clinic information into the Reliant Senior Living EHR, track new clinic set up, verify new clinic information and ensure all pertinent information to support clinic and billing operations is available in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure the collection and maintenance of patient demographic data in support of timely and accurate billing.
- Provide strong oversight for outsourced partners providing benefits verification and pre-authorization services.
- Monitor accuracy, develop rubrics, create score cards and utilize other tools and methods to identify areas of opportunities and work with the appropriate corporate, clinic or partner resources to ensure constant process improvement.
- Develop training and tools, and provide education to clinic team members as necessary to ensure effective utilization of all front office tools and thorough understanding of related processes and data
- Work with clinics and uncontracted payers to obtain gap exceptions i.e. single case agreements, when necessary, based on Reliant Senior Living’s contract status. Provide insight into the effectiveness of the gap exception process and work with leadership to identify areas for improvement in patient experience.
- Manage patient calls received by the corporate office.
- Ensure timely and accurate patient self-pay billing, patient statement processing, patient responsibility collection and other revenue cycle activities related to the interaction between patients, patients’ families and Reliant Senior Living Revenue Cycle.
- Manage merchant service integration with Reliant Senior Living’s E.H.R.
- Represent front office and patient experience within the Revenue Cycle team.
- Provide reporting, KPI and other insight into the performance of the Reliant Senior Living front office and work with RCM leadership to identify areas of opportunity for performance improvement.
- Attend all mandatory meetings, training, and assignments as delegated.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Must adhere to the polices, principles, and guidance within the Employee Handbook and Code of Business Conduct.
Competency
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools with a strong emphasis on Excel and Power Point.
Strong interpersonal, oral, written communication skills to include the ability to mentor clinical team members in the business aspects of Revenue Cycle.
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a growing company.
Strong knowledge of outpatient healthcare billing systems and processes.
Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse population.
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend in English: instructions, correspondence, memos, and reports.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, productive work environment.
Ability to make independent decisions and problem solve as appropriate.
Ability to effectively manage and motivate outsourcing partners.
Education/Experience
At least 5+ years of front-end revenue cycle experience in an outpatient setting.
Previous experience in group practice with multiple offices and a national footprint. Prior experience in Outpatient PT, OT or SLP front office a plus.
Experience working with outpatient electronic health record systems (EHR); experience with Prompt Health a plus.
Experience using payer portals and clearinghouse tools for daily activities, strong experience using reporting tools such as Power BI and Excel.
Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing in an outpatient setting.
