Role overview
Growth-track cybersecurity role supporting day-to-day security operations, evidence collection, user lifecycle management, and program documentation.
The analyst works alongside a senior analyst and the Information & Cyber Security Manager in a Defense Industrial Base environment.
Responsibilities
- Triage Defender alerts, review Entra ID sign-in risk events, monitor phishing simulations, and escalate anomalies.
- Track vulnerabilities from Defender and Nessus, maintain the tracker, and follow up on overdue remediation.
- Maintain NIST 800-171 and CMMC evidence folders, procedures, screenshots, and checklists.
- Support policy updates, version control, review cycles, and distribution.
- Manage security tickets for access requests, exceptions, and business security questions.
- Support training, audits, incident response, and program development under senior team members.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, IT, or a related field, or equivalent certifications and hands-on experience.
- 0–2 years of professional experience, including qualifying internships, lab work, home-lab projects, help-desk work, or military IT experience.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 admin center.
