About the Role
Accenture Middle East is seeking a Cyber Defense Associate to monitor security alerts, assist in incident response, and support vulnerability management. The ideal candidate has a diploma in cybersecurity or related field and basic knowledge of cybersecurity and networking concepts.

Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts from tools such as SIEM, antivirus, endpoint protection, firewall, and email security systems
- Review and escalate suspicious activities, phishing emails, malware alerts, and unauthorized access attempts
- Assist in basic incident response activities, including collecting evidence, documenting findings, and supporting remediation steps
- Perform daily security checks and prepare operational security reports
- Support user access reviews and help ensure access rights follow company policies
- Assist in vulnerability management activities, such as tracking open vulnerabilities and following up on remediation
- Maintain cybersecurity documentation, logs, and incident records
- Follow standard operating procedures for security monitoring and escalation
- Support compliance with internal security policies and regulatory requirements
- Work with IT teams to resolve security related issues
Requirements
- Diploma degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (malware, phishing, firewalls, vulnerabilities, access control)
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IP addresses, DNS, VPN, TCP/IP, ports)
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic IT troubleshooting
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in shifts if required
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
