We are looking for a Customs Analyst to support import and export activities by ensuring all shipments are compliant with customs regulations, company policies, and international trade requirements. The role focuses on accurate documentation, classification, and risk management to enable smooth and compliant global operations.
Ensure all import and export shipments are compliant with applicable customs regulations and company procedures.
Prepare and review customs documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure correct commodity codes (tariff classifications) are assigned to all goods.
Maintain accurate records for all customs transactions in line with audit requirements.

Work with internal teams and customs brokers to provide clear and compliant instructions for shipments.
Monitor shipments to ensure timely clearance and minimise delays.

Experience in customs, logistics, or international trade
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good understanding of import/export processes including Inward Processing Relief (IPR)
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders (internal teams and external brokers)
Confident working with data and documentation
Knowledge of UK customs regulations and trade compliance
Experience with tariff classification and origin rules
Familiarity with ERP (ideally IFS)
Familiarity with customs management systems
Detail-focused and methodical
Able to spot risks early and escalate appropriately
Communicates clearly with non-specialists
Works collaboratively across operations, finance, and supply chain
