You will begin your experience as a Credit Intern alongside a group of driven college students who are excited to learn what a career in banking and finance is all about.
During the summer, you will work full-time and participate in extensive commercial credit training in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
After completing your training, you'll work closely with Credit Analysts and lenders to learn how businesses operate and how commercial lending decisions are made.
As you develop your skills, you will analyze client financial information and learn how factors such as cash flow, collateral, and guarantor support influence credit decisions.
You'll also gain exposure to the written and verbal communication skills required to support a growing commercial lending team and build strong business relationships.
Throughout your year-long internship, you'll have the opportunity to explore what a career in commercial banking looks and feels like.
