Role Overview
John Crane is seeking an experienced Credit Controller for a 6-8 month contractual assignment in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai.
The role supports cash flow and accounts receivable objectives by maintaining an effective credit control system.
The position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain billing accounts and customer files, dispatch invoices, and complete collection reporting by deadlines.
- Follow up, collect, allocate, and reconcile customer payments, including processing adjustments and receipts.
- Prepare and monitor monthly collection cash forecasts and targets.
- Monitor non-payments, delayed payments, irregularities, and customer credit limits.
- Perform credit checks, identify payment-pattern changes, and propose actions to prevent indebtedness.
- Propose irrecoverable-debt write-offs and bad-debt provisions.
- Prepare bank deposits and investigate and resolve customer queries.
- Review and enhance credit control procedures and pursue outstanding balances to satisfactory conclusion.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-6 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, collections, or a similar finance role is required.
- Experience in a multinational and multicultural environment is required.
Technical Skills and Languages
- SAP experience is required.
- Advanced knowledge of finance software applications, databases, and spreadsheets is required.
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel, is required.
- Fluent English is required; Arabic and/or French are advantageous.
Workplace and Assignment
- The role is based in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai.
- The assignment is contractual and lasts approximately 6-8 months.
