Role Overview
Credit Analyst role focused on home finance, retail credit assessment, risk monitoring, and after-sales credit service.
Credit and Risk Responsibilities
- Ensure deviation approvals follow product, credit, and delegated authority parameters.
- Monitor risk and market trends and recommend policy amendments to reduce risk and improve quality.
- Verify facilities proposed by branches and sales teams and ensure required signoffs.
- Analyze customer profiles, financial positions, liabilities, repayment capacity, credit history, and banking relationships.
- Recommend cases to higher approval authorities when required.
Controls and Reporting
- Follow retail credit SOPs and SLAs to support timely delivery and acceptable audit risk ratings.
- Maintain accurate daily and monthly MIS data.
- Identify fraudulent activities and credit policy anomalies.
- Prepare detailed credit narrations for management approval.
- Check central bank reports, collection records, blacklists, and other policy-required systems.
- Complete contact point verification and resolve audit observations.
After-Sales Credit Service
- Analyze and recommend remedial solutions for potential delinquent accounts.
- Process swap, cancellation, and consolidation cases involving high-risk properties.
- Process retention solutions to maintain existing collateral.
- Manage customer requests involving changes to existing finance terms.
Education and Experience
- Two to three years of financial services experience, including retail banking.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree.
- Financial accreditation is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the UAE property market is required.
