Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of QC & RTGs and other related equipment
- Carry out mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and monitoring of cranes and related equipment
- Submit routine inspection and monitoring reports
- Attend breakdowns as reported by Staff & Equipment Control on immediate basis
- Conduct all preventive and corrective maintenance activities meticulously
- Ensure emergency work is followed up by reporting to Foreman
- Ensure work practice conforms to safety regulations and procedures
- Ensure work order is generated for all mechanical work performed on crane
- Submit correct information about start time and end time of maintenance activity
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years experience in container terminals and Quay cranes/RTGs
- Diploma in mechanical engineering (preferred)
- Detailed knowledge of mechanical equipment, diesel engines, transmissions, pneumatic & hydraulic systems, brakes
- Knowledge about lifting chain and wire ropes
- Conversant with technical/parts manuals and drawings
- Fully conversant with safety procedures
- Good communication skills
