About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Costing & Budgeting Manager to lead product costing, manufacturing finance, budgeting, and financial planning activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong factory finance exposure, deep expertise in standard costing methodologies, and hands-on experience with ERP-based manufacturing accounting systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).

The role requires close collaboration with production, supply chain, procurement, and commercial teams to drive profitability, operational efficiency, and financial control.

Costing & Manufacturing Finance

  • Manage end-to-end product costing processes within the ERP environment.
  • Develop, maintain, and validate standard costing structures for all products.
  • Analyze raw material, labor, conversion, and overhead costs.
  • Monitor manufacturing variances including:
  • Material usage variances
  • Labor variances
  • Overhead absorption variances
  • Production efficiency variances
  • Review and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and machine rates.
  • Ensure accurate allocation of manufacturing overheads and factory expenses.
  • Conduct periodic cost reviews and identify cost optimization opportunities.

Erp & Systems

  • Work closely with IT, production, and supply chain teams to ensure costing accuracy within ERP systems.
  • Handle costing and manufacturing modules in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
  • Support ERP process improvements related to costing, inventory, production accounting, and reporting.
  • Ensure integrity of master data including items, cost centers, BOMs, routings, and costing structures.
  • Participate in automation and digital transformation initiatives.

Budgeting & Planning

  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting exercises for manufacturing and trading operations.
  • Prepare factory-wise and product-wise profitability analysis.
  • Support monthly MIS reporting and management presentations.
  • Monitor budget utilization and highlight key deviations with corrective recommendations.

Inventory & Operational Controls

  • Support inventory valuation and stock reconciliation activities.
  • Coordinate with operations and warehouse teams on inventory controls and cycle counts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls.
  • Support improvement of operational KPIs and productivity measurements.

Business Partnering

  • Partner closely with production, procurement, supply chain, and commercial teams.
  • Provide financial insights to support pricing, product mix, and operational decisions.
  • Assist management in identifying profitability improvement opportunities.

Qualification

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CMA) – Mandatory

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in:
  • Manufacturing costing
  • Factory finance
  • Budgeting & forecasting
  • Manufacturing accounting
  • Strong factory-based manufacturing experience is essential.
  • Preferred industry exposure:

  • Paper Packaging

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in:
  • Standard Costing

• BOM & Routing

  • Variance Analysis
  • Inventory Accounting

• Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or business analytics tools will be an added advantage.
