Position overview
DNV is seeking a highly experienced Corrosion Engineer for a long-term opportunity in Doha, Qatar.
The role supports oil and gas and process industry work involving corrosion management and asset integrity.
The position requires at least 12 years of relevant experience and proven offshore project exposure.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, is required.
- At least 12 years of relevant experience is required.
- NACE Specialist Certification is preferred.
- Offshore experience is mandatory.
Technical expertise
- Strong knowledge of NACE, ASTM, ISO, API 571, and API 580 standards is required.
- Experience with Risk-Based Equipment Strategy and RBI processes is required.
- The role requires expertise in corrosion management, metallurgy, welding, and corrosion protection.
- Experience with metallic and non-metallic material selection is required.
- Experience with pipeline inspection and maintenance is required.
- Knowledge of static equipment integrity is required.
- Experience with cathodic protection and coating systems is required.
