Corporate Security – Sr Technical Advisor

Minimum Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience designing, implementing and operating integrated security systems
• Experience with facility security design, physical security infrastructure or integrated security technology solutions
• Experience with security platforms such as Lenel OnGuard, Milestone XProtect, Commend and Traka Web
• Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple priorities across concurrent projects
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A valid driver’s licence
• Security industry certification such as Physical Security Professional (PSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP), technical certification in engineering, project management or construction management, AutoCAD experience, or a related post-secondary credential would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and sustain integrated security technologies that support business units across Suncor operations
• Lead risk-based facility security planning, site vulnerability assessments and technical recommendations to help mitigate security risks
• Partner with project managers, engineers, Digital and Information Technology teams, vendors and contractors to deliver scalable and secure technical solutions
• Troubleshoot complex system failures and act as a key technical resource for security infrastructure, system architecture and project execution
• Develop and maintain technical plans, drawings, standards, documentation and implementation guidance to support consistent, high-quality delivery
