Purpose of the Job
Work with local operations and development teams to generate seafreight quotations for regular and spot pricing enquiries, global accounts, RFQs, and network tenders.
Job Description
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers, liners, transporters, agents, and counterparts to acquire competitive market rates.
- Develop relationships with carriers, agents, and counterparts to secure rates and space agreements.
- Assess customer needs, competitor activity, port developments, and trade-lane growth to help identify new services.
- Follow up with airlines on spot rates and potential rate reductions for specific trade lanes affected by capacity issues.
- Support the network in all RFQs and tenders.
- Manage the pricing team handling RFQs and ad hoc enquiries.
- Communicate with international stakeholders on pricing-related matters.
