Position Overview
The COOP Student Small Engine Mechanic supports the Service team by keeping rental fleet and customer equipment operating safely, reliably, and effectively.
The position is a temporary student placement in Barrie, Ontario.
Pay and Credit
- This is a volunteer position in which working hours are exchanged for course credit.
What You Will Do
- Diagnose and repair defective small engines on rental equipment.
- Diagnose, service, and maintain rental equipment.
- Diagnose and repair customer-owned tools and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on fleet and customer equipment.
- Maintain and service small-engine-related equipment.
- Load and unload customer rental equipment and explain operating instructions.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized yard and work areas.
- Support branch operations and work cross-functionally to deliver timely repairs and service.
- Follow workplace safety protocols and environmentally sound practices.
What We Are Looking For
- Three or more years of hands-on experience as a Small Engines Technician or in a similar role.
