Role Overview

Cook III position in the Food and Beverage & Culinary department at Le Méridien in Dubai.

The position is full time, non-management, and not remote.

Kitchen Duties

  • Prepare ingredients through portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
  • Prepare cold food and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Test food for adequate cooking and monitor food quality during preparation.
  • Set up and clean work areas and portion food into appropriate containers.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment.
  • Confirm that equipment and food temperatures are appropriate.

Safety and Team Duties

  • Follow company and safety and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Complete required safety training and certifications and protect confidential information and company assets.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, maintain positive work relationships, and support team goals.
  • Meet quality expectations and standards throughout food preparation and service.
  • Perform physical work involving standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, crouching, and handling objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least one year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience, license, or certification is required.
