Cook II role within the Food and Beverage & Culinary function at Aloft Hotels in Dubai.
The position is full time and non-management.
The role focuses on preparing and cooking menu items while maintaining culinary, safety, hygiene, and presentation standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes or the menu.
- Cook food and prepare high-quality menu products in a timely manner.
- Taste food to ensure preparation and temperature are correct.
- Use kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Ensure proper hygiene and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers.
Requirements
- Teamwork and attention to detail are important for the role.
- A positive attitude and outgoing personality are sought.
- Previous kitchen experience is considered an advantage.
- The role requires lifting and moving up to 25 pounds (10 kg).
- The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
- Employees must maintain a professional appearance with a clean uniform.
- Pre-employment safety training and certification are required.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is listed as desirable.
- At least one year of related work experience is listed as desirable.
- No supervisory experience is required.
