Position Overview

Schedule and Position Type

Cooking and Food Preparation

• Prepare special meals, substitute dishes, cold foods, portions, presentations, and garnishes.
• Regulate cooking equipment temperatures and safely thaw frozen food in the refrigerator.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
• Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
• Inform the chef about surplus food and inform service staff about menu specials and unavailable items.

Team and Guest Service

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, motivation, and coaching of employees.
• Anticipate and address guest service needs and communicate clearly and courteously.
• Develop positive working relationships, support colleagues, and help achieve common goals.

Safety and Physical Requirements

• Follow company safety and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions.
• Complete required safety training and obtain safety certifications when required.
• Work standing, seated, and moving for extended periods, including reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and squatting.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds (11.4 kg) without assistance.

Recommended Qualifications

• A diploma from a technical, trade, or vocational institution is recommended.
• At least 3 years of related work experience is recommended.
• No supervisory experience or license/certification is listed as required in the qualifications section.
