- Prepare special meals, substitute items, prepare cold foods, and cook according to recipes and food preparation checklists.
- Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures and thaw frozen food in refrigerator storage.
- Ensure proper portions, arrangement, garnishing, food quality, and presentation.
- Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
- Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and report excess, rejected, or unavailable food items.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and employee coaching.
