Summary of Duties

  • Directly responsible for food production in a Quick Service Establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict compliance with standardized recipes.
  • Prepare and/or monitor all food production.
  • Ensures safe and sanitary practices are adhered to in accordance with company and facility policies.
  • Follows all proper food safety procedures during preparation and cooking including maintaining all logs and labels.
  • Ensures that all food is cooked and served at the correct temperature at all times.
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates efficiently, effectively, and professionally at all times.
  • Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of equipment throughout shift, proactively stays busy.
  • Clean and sanitize all required equipment and tools as required: daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Confirm compliance with all sanitation and health and safety standards.
  • May assist in taking inventory.
  • May assist in verifying deliveries.
  • Perform morning kitchen set up and/or evening shut down duties.
  • Reports damaged and inoperable equipment(s) to manager on duty.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.

  • Strong communication skills, team player, respectable, dependable and possesses professionalism.
  • Problem solving capabilities and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
  • Collaborative attitude with an emphasis on excellent customer service.
  • Self motivated, can work independently, listens and follows directions.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task with strong time management strengths.
  • Must have a solid understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and related processes.
  • This position may require bending, stooping, lifting, continuous standing or walking.
