The main focus of the control room operator’s work is the operation of the Via Store system to move materials/ products in the distribution center in a timely and efficient manner.

The role of the control room operator is to operate all aspects of control room operations during assigned shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Operate the Viastore system to gather the outbound shipments efficiently.
• Operate the Viastore system to deposit incoming ware in a timely manner using first in first out (FIFO) methodology.
• Must be able to identify and report issues/problems in a clear and concise manner to the Viastore help desk.
• Oversee the pick I and tunnel area’s during daily operations.
• Identify problems with the Via Store system and relay them to the distribution center manager or supervisor, as required.
• Identify problems with conveyors, cranes, and all other hardware related to the automated pick/place equipment. Prove guidance on both the need for maintenance and if required, type of maintenance support.
• Use SAP to record inventory adjustments. Performs any other necessary paperwork.
• Release daily workload (deliveries) as well as requested releases by Customer Service.
• Participate in the process of taking physical inventories cycle counts as needed.
• Must be able to understand and perform all processes dealing with Viastore.
