Civmec is in search of site and metro-based Contract Administrators and Quantity Surveyors to join one of Australia's leading multidisciplinary construction groups and play a key role in delivering some of the nation's largest and most complex projects.
Roles exist both in Henderson and on a FIFO / DIDO 2:1 roster across a number of civil and SMP projects, for which you will take ownership of key commercial and contractual functions across the project lifecycle, supporting the protection and enhancement of project outcomes.
You will be joining an experienced, professional project team with a comprehensive support network, all of whom are invested in helping you build a successful long term career with Civmec.
The successful candidate will drive all aspects of the project commercial and contract functions, including but not limited to:
Commercial management of vendor packages, including management of variations, EOT and daywork claims and record keeping;
Perform cost control and reporting duties for end of month reporting and client reports;
Attend weekly subcontractor and client meetings, representing Civmec’s commercial interests as required;
Assist in contractual communications to clients, including notices of delay, extensions of time etc;
Provide support to the project team in the preparation of relevant notices within designated timeframes;
Notify clients of any issues, special circumstances or breaches of contract;

Liaising with subcontractors to ensure all relevant insurances are current and legal (i.e. workers compensation);
Revise and retain contract registers highlighting payment conditions payment claims; and
Maintain company standards of documentation and records for Quality Assurance purposes;
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desired;
Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a role as a Contract Administrator or Quantity Surveyor;
Previous experience within the construction industry is essential;
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment;
On-site construction experience for mining projects is desirable;
Strong, clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal; and
Strong understanding of commercial management and project controls.
