Key skills for this role
Creation, maintenance, and updating of PowerBI reports to support Mine department decision making
Support routine reporting processes across a variety of areas including production, maintenance, and safety
Facilitate the digitalization and automation of data collection, entry, and reporting
Review mine process data, identify data quality issues, and provide recommendations for process improvements
Conduct ad hoc data analyses as requested by mine department teams
Providing mentorship to mine operations engineering support interns
Communicate with underground work force as well as peers across the Nutrien potash network on data and analysis topics
Collaborate with all mine department teams, including production, maintenance, and engineering teams
Facilitate meetings with process stakeholders to identify
Engage with underground frontline workers and supervisors in the mine to identify and support improvement opportunities
Three or more years of experience working with data and analysis. Experience working in this area in a mining context would be an asset.
Experience with business intelligence tools, especially PowerBI
A technical degree in engineering, data science, or computer science would be an asset
Effective communication skills, including presenting to groups
Excellent data analysis skills
Proven ability to work across different functional groups
Excellent problem-solving skills and proven work ethic
Ability to develop and adapt new concepts and innovate approaches
