Role Summary
Lead Network Engineer responsible for delivering and operating critical data center networking and security infrastructure.
The role follows a deploy-and-run model, combining implementation with production support.
The role interfaces with architecture, business units, security, PMO, service desk, vendors, and infrastructure management.
Project Lifecycle and Delivery
- Review High-Level Designs and project scope, timelines, and dependencies.
- Prepare Low-Level Designs, configuration templates, and implementation plans.
- Build, configure, and deploy network and security components.
- Conduct UAT, failover, and performance testing before production cutover.
- Support go-live activities, including risk mitigation and rollback planning.
- Track project progress, risks, and issues for stakeholders and PMO.
Operations and Service Delivery
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize deployed production solutions.
- Act as an L3 escalation point for critical incidents and complex changes.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
- Maintain change records and follow ITIL processes.
