We Staffed is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Psychiatrist & Medical Psychotherapist to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. - Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations, diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, trauma related conditions, and substance use disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacotherapy and evidence based psychotherapeutic interventions
- Provide individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy where appropriate
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while ensuring safe and effective treatment outcomes
- Manage psychiatric emergencies, including suicide risk assessments and crisis intervention
- Collaborate closely with psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, primary care physicians, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, medication adherence, and relapse prevention
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities
- Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to teaching and mentoring where applicable
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and international clinical guidelines
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Completion of an accredited residency or postgraduate training in Psychiatry
- Board Certification or equivalent Specialist/Consultant qualification in Psychiatry
- Formal training and experience in Medical Psychotherapy or psychotherapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, Family Therapy, or other evidence based approaches
- Minimum of 3–5 years of post specialization experience for Specialist level or 8–10 years for Consultant level
- Strong expertise in psychiatric diagnosis, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical decision making skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multicultural healthcare environment
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantage

- This role requires a patient centered approach, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
