Overview
1.
To provide high-standard patient care in accordance with the NGHA mission, vision and values in Neurology within the Department of Pediatrics and meetings the standards set by JCI/CBAHI.
2.
To provide inpatient care for the Pediatric Neurology patients admitted to the hospital either as the MRP or as the covering physician during clinical service, weekends, holidays or vacations, accepting the inconvenience associated with the patient needs.
3.
To provide Neurology consultations services to other divisions within the Department of Pediatrics and other Departments within the organization during the regular working and the on-call hours.
4.
To provide outpatient pediatric neurology care.
5.
To perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic interventions and procedures in patients with neurological disorders for which he/she has been granted specific privileges based on his/her training, qualifications, experience and skills.
6.
To participate in interpreting and reporting the neurological procedure such as EEG, Evoked Potential and Nerve Conduction study, and to perform EMG.
7.
To actively participate in Quality Improvement program of the department.
8.
To serve in divisional, departmental and organizational committees as appointed by the Head, Division of Pediatric Neurology, Chairman, Department of Pediatric or the Executive Management of the organization.
9.
To participate in scientific research
10.
To contribute into the department educational activities and postgraduate training programs in Pediatric Neurology or General Pediatrics as well as education for Neurophysiology trainees.
11.
To comply with all the professional and ethical standards and express adherence to the Medical Staff Bylaws of the organization.
12.
To perform and supervise the intra-operative electro physiological studies, including neurosurgery and orthopaedic.
13.
To perform intra-operative electrocorography and cortical stimulation together with cortical mapping.
14.
To perform other job related duties, as directed by the section head, the chairman of the pediatric department, or the executive director /deputy of the medical services-WR
