- Diagnose and manage patients with neurological disorders, focusing on epilepsy and seizure disorders
- Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments including history taking, examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic investigations
- Develop individualized treatment plans involving anti seizure medications, lifestyle modifications, and advanced therapeutic options
- Evaluate patients for epilepsy surgery and advanced epilepsy management pathways
- Interpret diagnostic tools including EEG, Video EEG, Brain MRI, neuroimaging, and neurophysiological investigations
- Manage pre operative and post operative epilepsy cases in collaboration with neurosurgeons and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide patient and family education on seizure management, medication adherence, and safety measures
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neurophysiologists, psychiatrists, pediatric neurologists, and other specialists
- Participate in epilepsy MDT meetings, clinical audits, research, and CME
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DOH regulations and hospital policies
- Mentor junior physicians and contribute to departmental education and service development
Requirements
- MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification
- Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent Consultant qualification in Neurology
- Additional fellowship or advanced training in Epileptology / Epilepsy Medicine
- Minimum 5 10 years of post specialization experience at Consultant level
- Eligibility for or possession of DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant license
- Proven expertise in epilepsy diagnosis, management, EEG interpretation, and complex seizure disorders
- Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills

Job Overview
- We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Neurologist with expertise in Epileptology to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage patients with a wide range of neurological disorders, with a special focus on epilepsy and seizure disorders, drug resistant epilepsy, complex epilepsy syndromes, status epilepticus management, and adult and adolescent seizure disorders.
- Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments, including history taking, neurological examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic investigations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans involving anti seizure medications, lifestyle modifications, and advanced therapeutic options where appropriate.
- Evaluate patients for epilepsy surgery and other advanced epilepsy management pathways.
- Interpret and utilize diagnostic tools, including EEG monitoring, Video EEG, Brain MRI, neuroimaging studies, and neurophysiological investigations.
- Manage pre operative and post operative epilepsy cases in collaboration with neurosurgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide patient and family education regarding seizure management, medication adherence, and safety measures.
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neurophysiologists, psychiatrists, pediatric neurologists, and other specialists.

Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
- Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent recognized Consultant qualification in Neurology.
- Additional fellowship or advanced training in Epileptology / Epilepsy Medicine is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 10 years of post specialization experience at Consultant level.
- Eligibility for or possession of a Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi Consultant license.
- Proven expertise in epilepsy diagnosis, management, EEG interpretation, and complex seizure disorders.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Commitment to delivering high quality, evidence based neurological care.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working in internationally accredited tertiary neuroscience centers.
- Expertise in epilepsy monitoring units (EMU), video EEG, epilepsy surgery evaluation, or neuromodulation therapies is an advantage.
- UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong commitment to research, teaching, and continuous professional development.
