Role Overview
Airswift is sourcing a Construction Lead for piping and mechanical work with a major oil and gas operator.
This is a long-term contract role located in Qatar onshore.
Working Schedule
- The working schedule is 6 days per week and 10 hours per day.
- The expected start is as soon as possible, typically within one month of notice.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during fabrication.
- Manage mechanical and piping fabrication execution against safety, quality, and schedule objectives.
- Supervise contractor and subcontractor activities for fabrication, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
- Check constructability and technical compliance of engineering deliverables.
- Review construction-standard deviations and support complete construction documentation dossiers.
- Identify progress and quality concerns and recommend corrective actions.
- Review contractor progress reports and highlight critical problems, schedule drift, and dysfunctions.
- Liaise with contractors and subcontractors on piping, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning matters.
- Participate in risk assessment, pre-job, and technical meetings.
- Participate in reviews of experience and lessons learned.
