Responsibilities
- Develop designs and engineering drawings incorporating contract specifications, client requirements, and government regulations
- Consider creative solutions to reduce manpower requirements, cost, and time
- Research advanced construction technologies and creative solutions to improve structural design
- Perform structural design and analysis
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and authorities for design approval
- Check and approve compatibility of architectural, civil, MEP, and steel/cladding drawings
- Ensure timely delivery of updated 'Issued for Construction' drawings
- Review steel design/drawings from steel manufacturing company in coordination with Sr. Steel Designer
- Prepare drawing submittal log in line with project schedule
- Provide As Built Drawings on a timely basis
- Perform site visits to compare designs with actual site practices
- Train and develop subordinates
Requirements
- Experience in structural design and analysis for construction projects
- Knowledge of concrete design and engineering drawings
- Ability to ensure design compatibility with authorities' rules and regulations
- Experience with design software and programs
- Ability to train and develop subordinates

- Coordinates activities of consultant, client, and Amana for Design/Build contracts.
- Interfaces with clients, consultants, and authorities for quick approval of drawings.
- Checks and approves compatibility of architectural, civil, MEP, and steel/cladding drawings.
- Ensures timely delivery of updated 'Issued for Construction' drawings.
- Reviews steel design/drawings from steel manufacturing company.
