Role Overview
Invictus Investment Company PLC is hiring a hands-on Compliance Officer with experience in commodity trading, energy, agricultural commodities, shipping, chartering, or a closely related trading environment.
The role has direct involvement across the counterparty compliance lifecycle and supports commodity-trading activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage corporate KYC/KYB and counterparty onboarding.
- Review complex corporate structures, UBOs, ownership chains, and authorized signatories.
- Conduct sanctions, PEP, adverse-media, and vessel screening.
- Perform enhanced due diligence on higher-risk trading counterparties.
- Assess high-risk jurisdictions and commodity-trading red flags.
- Prepare compliance and corporate-information packs for financing stakeholders.
- Oversee compliance across subsidiaries, including monitoring, reporting, remediation, KPIs, periodic reviews, documentation, and controls.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant compliance, due diligence, onboarding, sanctions-screening, or trade-compliance experience.
- Strong understanding of commodity-trading counterparties and trade flows.
- Practical knowledge of UAE, UN, EU, UK, and OFAC sanctions relevant to commodity trading.
