Responsibilities
- Ensure Motel maintains compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Monitor changes in the law and disseminate training where appropriate
- Review policies and procedures to ensure ethical and compliant operations
- Lead on ESG reporting, SECR, CSRD, and ESRS
- Ensure compliance for compulsory Digital Product Passports
- Drive progress under BCorp's governance pillar
- Examine and improve internal audit processes
- Complete regular internal auditing and assess compliance procedures
- Maintain and embed a robust Risk Management Framework
- Coordinate and manage recording, analysis, and reporting of incidents or breaches
- Research emerging rules and guide implementation
- Manage cross border compliance and review third party audits
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within compliance function
- Significant knowledge in governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
- Deep understanding of global regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, UK Corporate Governance Code, ISO 27001)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Influencing and negotiation skills

The Role
- Motel's Compliance Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to legislation, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Develop and implement compliance strategies and procedures.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Ensuring Motel maintains compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Monitoring any changes in the law and disseminating training
- Reviewing policies and procedures for ethical and compliant operations
- Leading on ESG reporting, SECR, CSRD, and ESRS
- Ensuring compliance for compulsory Digital Product Passports
- Driving progress under BCorp's governance pillar
- Examining and improving internal audit processes
- Completing regular internal auditing
- Maintaining and embedding a robust Risk Management Framework
