- Ensure Motel maintains compliance with relevant standards and regulations, monitoring risk trends
- Monitor changes in the law and disseminate training where appropriate
- Review policies and procedures to ensure ethical and compliant operations
- Lead on ESG reporting, SECR, CSRD, and ESRS
- Ensure compliance for compulsory Digital Product Passports
- Drive progress under BCorp’s governance pillar
- Examine and improve internal audit processes
- Complete regular internal auditing and assess compliance procedures
- Maintain and embed a robust Risk Management Framework
- Coordinate and manage recording, analysis, and reporting of incidents or internal breaches
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within compliance function
- Significant knowledge in governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
- Deep understanding of global regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, UK Corporate Governance Code, ISO 27001)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to engage senior stakeholders and global teams
- Analytical skills
- Strong communication skills in written, presentation, and oral mediums
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Forward thinking mindset capable of making sound decisions and prioritizing tasks

The Role
- Motel’s Compliance Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to legislation, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Develop and implement compliance strategies and procedures.
- Act as trusted advisor and helpful challenger to promote best practice.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Ensuring Motel maintains compliance with relevant standards and regulations, monitoring risk trends.
- Monitoring changes in the law and disseminating training where appropriate.
- Reviewing policies and procedures to ensure ethical and compliant operations.
- Leading on ESG reporting, SECR, CSRD, and ESRS.
- Ensuring compliance for compulsory Digital Product Passports.
- Driving progress under BCorp’s governance pillar.
- Examining and improving internal audit processes.
- Completing regular internal auditing and assessing compliance procedures.
- Maintaining and embedding a robust Risk Management Framework.
- Coordinating and managing recording, analysis, and reporting of incidents or internal breaches.
- Researching emerging rules and guiding implementation.
- Hosting meetings with employees on ethical and compliance matters.
About you
- Proven experience in a similar role within compliance function.
- Significant knowledge in governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
- Deep understanding of global regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, UK Corporate Governance Code, ISO 27001).
- Ability to effectively organise and manage own workload.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to engage senior stakeholders and global teams.
