Role Summary
The Compliance Manager maintains and enhances the organization’s compliance framework under applicable UAE laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
The role provides independent compliance oversight, monitors regulatory obligations, assesses compliance risks, and advises management and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and implement compliance policies, procedures, controls, and the compliance framework.
- Monitor regulatory developments and implement relevant changes.
- Conduct compliance monitoring and testing, identify control gaps, and track remediation.
- Advise senior management and business teams on regulatory requirements.
- Oversee AML/CFT, KYC, sanctions, market conduct, client protection, and conflicts of interest requirements.
- Complete regulatory reports, notifications, and filings.
- Maintain the regulatory obligations register and compliance records.
- Investigate breaches and control deficiencies and oversee remediation to closure.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and maintain the compliance risk profile.
- Liaise with UAE regulators on enquiries, inspections, and information requests.
- Prepare reports and management information for senior management and the Board.
- Coordinate with Risk, Legal, Internal Audit, Operations, and other control functions; deliver compliance training.
