Job Overview
Lead apartment community operations as the team coach, culture ambassador, and business strategist.
Oversee financial performance, leasing success, vendor partnerships, resident satisfaction, team development, occupancy, and community environment.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- At least two years of property management experience, including Leasing Consultant and Assistant Community Manager experience, is required.
- Six months of multifamily Community Manager experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with Yardi, Knock, and Microsoft is highly preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- A valid driver's license is required.
- CAM, CAPS, real estate, and/or property management licensing is preferred.
Financial and Administrative Oversight
- Manage budgets, rent collection, community financial reporting, move-outs, deposit accounting, and delinquency tracking.
- Maintain accurate records using platforms such as Yardi and Knock.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.
Property Performance and Operations
- Conduct inspections to maintain curb appeal and quality.
- Drive leasing, renewals, pricing strategies, occupancy goals, and resident retention.
- Partner with maintenance on work orders and preventative care.
- Oversee vendors for quality, safety, and timely service.
Team and Community Leadership
- Build a positive culture across office and maintenance teams.
- Hire, train, coach, and support team members to meet performance goals.
- Host weekly team meetings and uphold accountability and standards.
Resident Experience and Leasing
- Address escalated resident concerns and disputes professionally.
- Plan resident events, monitor online reviews, and manage resident satisfaction.
- Conduct tours, respond to leads, guide prospects through leasing, and complete applications and renewals accurately.
- Create and manage community social media content and maintain welcoming common areas.
Work Schedule
- The leasing office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- One weekday off is provided each week to maintain a 40-hour schedule.
- Evening and weekend availability may be required for resident events or community needs.
Compensation and Benefits
- Community Managers are eligible for monthly leasing and renewal commissions and quarterly performance bonuses in addition to salary.
