District 214 Community Education is seeking a compassionate and organized Program Assistant to support the Read to Learn Adult Literacy Program, helping adult learners and volunteer tutors connect through educational opportunities that strengthen our community.
Whether assisting with learner registration, coordinating volunteers, preparing program materials, or supporting daily operations, we're looking for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to help others succeed.

This part-time position offers daytime hours Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and Saturdays based on program needs.

HOURS/SCHEDULE: This is a part-time. grant-funded position, requires a minimum of 12 hours per week.
The schedule primarily consists of daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and Saturday hours based on program needs.
Exact hours are to be determined.
This is an IMRF position.
SALARY: $24.00 per hour

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing, lifting and walking are required.
This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
