- Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to supervisor
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen preferred (for Bakery role)
- Previous experience in a hot kitchen preferred (for Hot Kitchen role)
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients (for Bakery role)
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques (for Hot Kitchen role)
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Job Summary
- The Commis – Bakery is responsible for assisting in the preparation, production, and presentation of bakery items.
- The Commis – Hot Kitchen is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of hot food items.
Key Responsibilities Bakery
- Assist in the preparation and production of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other bakery products.
- Follow standardized recipes and production schedules.
- Prepare ingredients and baking materials as instructed by supervisors.
- Ensure all products meet quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery work area.
- Properly store ingredients and finished products following FIFO principles.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist with receiving and storing bakery supplies.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
- Operate bakery equipment safely and responsibly.
- Support the team during peak production periods.
Key Responsibilities Hot Kitchen
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to recipes and company standards.
- Prepare ingredients including vegetables, meats, sauces, and garnishes.
- Support chefs during service to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Ensure all hot food items are prepared and stored safely.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
- Keep kitchen workstations clean, organized, and sanitized.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or wastage.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food products using FIFO.
- Properly operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Support inventory control and waste reduction initiatives.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen preferred (Bakery).
- Previous experience in a hot kitchen preferred (Hot Kitchen).
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients (Bakery).
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques (Hot Kitchen).
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
