Role overview

Kitchen responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure, mix, and store ingredients.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
• Prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test food for doneness and monitor food quality during preparation.
• Set up and break down the work station and serve food in proper portions.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check appliance and food temperatures and report issues when identified.

Safety and teamwork

• Follow company, safety, security, sanitation, and quality policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
• Maintain a clean professional appearance, protect company assets, and keep proprietary information confidential.
• Communicate clearly, build positive working relationships, and support the team in reaching common goals.
• Perform physical work including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving items up to 25 pounds.

Preferred qualifications

• A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience or license or certification is listed as required.
