Position Summary

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.

Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods while maintaining food quality and presentation.

Kitchen Responsibilities

  • Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
  • Thaw frozen food in refrigerators and maintain food logs.
  • Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
  • Communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
  • Inform the Chef about excess food items for daily specials.
  • Inform food and beverage service staff about menu specials and unavailable items.

Team and Guest Service

  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
  • Anticipate and address guest service needs and communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is listed as a preferred qualification.
  • At least three years of related work experience is listed as a preferred qualification.
  • No supervisory experience is required.
  • No license or certification is listed.

Workplace and Safety

  • The position is full time and not remote at the Dubai hotel location.
  • Follow company, safety, and security policies and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain clean and professional appearance and protect confidential information and company assets.
  • Perform physical duties including extended standing or walking and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
