Responsibilities
- Handle post fixture operations including voyage planning, laytime calculations, and cargo documentation.
- Liaise with charterers, agents, bunker suppliers, and shipmasters to coordinate voyage instructions.
- Monitor vessel performance and ensure compliance with charter party terms.
- Follow up on freight invoices, demurrage/dispatch claims, and cost approvals.
- Maintain voyage records and prepare voyage profitability reports.
- Support the Commercial Manager in fixture execution and operational follow ups.
- Coordinate port clearance requirements and ensure timely dispatch of relevant documents.
- Maintain close communication with shipboard staff to ensure voyage efficiency and issue resolution.
- Track market developments and assist in gathering commercial intelligence as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate in Shipping, Maritime Studies, or related field.
- Minimum 2 3 years of experience in commercial or post fixture operations with a ship owner/operator.
- Sound understanding of shipping documentation, charter parties, and voyage execution processes.
- Strong coordination skills and ability to handle time sensitive tasks under pressure.
- Familiarity with voyage management systems (e.g., IMOS) is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Excel and general business communication tools.
- A good team player with attention to detail and willingness to learn.
