Our client – operating in the

FMCG sector

is looking for a Commercial Head reporting directly to the General Manager.

The role will be

physically located

in

Luanda

Angola.

Job Summary

  • ***Responsible for Sales and Marketing department for driving revenue & sales growth, building the brand and ensuring the company wins in the market.***
  • Primary responsibilities include:
  • Develop and execute the company’s commercial strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and pricing trends.
  • Lead expansion into new markets, channels, and customer segments.
  • Build annual commercial plans, revenue forecasts, and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Leveraging Commercial opportunities
  • Oversee national and regional sales teams, ensuring achievement of volume, value and profitability targets.
  • Implement structured sales processes, KPIs and performance dashboards.
  • Manage key accounts and negotiate high‑value contracts with distributors, retailers and institutional buyers as per the company policy.
  • Drive customer retention, service levels, and channel development.
  • Lead pricing strategy, discount structures and margin management with full alignment with the finance dependent and company’s management
  • Collaborate with Finance to monitor commercial performance, working capital, and credit exposure.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial policies, contracts and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee brand positioning, product launches and promotional strategies.
  • Manage marketing budgets, campaigns and trade marketing activities.
  • Ensure alignment between brand messaging, customer insights and sales execution.
  • Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Production to align demand planning with capacity.
  • Partner with HR to build commercial capability, training programs, and performance culture.
  • Support Executive Management with strategic planning, board reporting, and business cases.

Required Experience

  • 8 – 12+ years of commercial leadership experience in FMCG, Manufacturing or Distribution.
  • Proven track record in revenue growth, market expansion and key account management.
