Job Summary
The COD Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the corrugated pipe production line (DWC/COD), ensuring consistent product quality, optimal machine performance, and adherence to safety and production standards.
1. Machine Operation
- Operate and monitor the corrugated pipe (COD/DWC) extrusion line.
- Set and adjust machine parameters such as temperature, speed, pressure, and vacuum settings.
- Ensure smooth and continuous production with minimal downtime.
2. Production Monitoring
- Follow daily production plans and achieve assigned targets.
- Monitor output, scrap levels, and line efficiency.
- Report any deviations or production issues immediately.
3. Quality Control
- Inspect finished products for:
- Proper corrugation shape
- Wall thickness
- Surface quality
- Coordinate with Quality Department for testing and compliance.
- Ensure products meet company and industry standards.
4. Material Handling
- Monitor raw material feeding (HDPE/PVC).
- Ensure correct material usage and avoid contamination.
- Coordinate with Mixing/Material team when required.
5. Troubleshooting
- Identify and resolve minor machine or process issues.
- Stop the machine safely in case of abnormal conditions.
- Report major issues to Maintenance team promptly.
6. Safety Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards immediately.
7. Documentation
- Record production data, downtime, and waste.
- Maintain daily logs and shift reports accurately.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Technical Certification (Mechanical / Electrical preferred)
- 2–5 years experience in plastic manufacturing or extrusion lines
- Experience in corrugated (DWC/COD) pipe production is preferred
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to work in shift-based environments
