Title: Coating Machine Operator Level 1A

Department: Coating

Reports to: Manufacturing Manager

Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Position Purpose: The Coating Machine Operator is responsible for performing work assigned in the manufacturing department according to the requirements of the process. They must work in a safe, productive, efficient, and quality conscious manner on all tasks. The Coating Machine Operator must follow all work rules while performing job duties and utilize critical reasoning skills when solving problems that effect safety, quality, and productivity.

Actively participate in Plant Safety Program. Successfully complete Company provided safety training.

Knowledge and practice of all safety procedures in the area.

Operation of required material handling devices and proper handling of materials.

Operate machinery while monitoring material, equipment, and methods to ensure quality product is manufactured.

Collect data and compete record keeping requirements.

Perform in-process quality testing.

Knowledge of production specifications and quality requirements.

Change-over, start-up, monitor, and adjust operating condition to maintain quality, production, and safety standards on the production equipment.
