Overview
Electro-Methods, a Stronvar Aerospace company, is seeking a skilled CNC Turning Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC lathes to produce high-precision aerospace components. The CNC Turning Operator plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, adherence to engineering specifications, and compliance with industry standards in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines (lathes/VTL) to produce precision aerospace components per engineering drawings and traveler documentation. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T requirements. • Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and optical comparators. • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality. • Perform routine machine maintenance, including tool changes, offsets, and minor troubleshooting. • Complete required documentation and maintain accurate production records in compliance with AS9100 standards. • Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, and quality teams to resolve machining issues. • Follow all company safety and quality policies, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
