Overview
Electro-Methods, a Stronvar Aerospace company, is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC milling machines to produce high-precision aerospace components. The CNC Milling Operator plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, adherence to engineering specifications, and compliance with industry and customer standards in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture complex aerospace components per engineering drawings and traveler documentation. • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements to ensure accurate machining. • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and optical comparators. • Monitor machining processes and adjust speeds, feeds, and offsets as required to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality. • Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program edits as needed. • Complete all required production documentation in compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements. • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production leadership to resolve machining challenges. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company safety and environmental standards.
