CNC Operator

At Muskoka Lumber, we are looking for a dedicated professional who combines advanced software programming skills with a strong work ethic and a sharp eye for manufacturing quality.

Required skills, abilities, and attributes:

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator/Programmer within a woodworking, industrial milling, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software , specifically AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Mastercam, with experience in nesting and router software considered an asset.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read complex blueprints and use various measuring devices accurately.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards under production deadlines , with a safety-first mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with design teams to refine models for manufacturability.
• Dependable and organized work habits, with a focus on punctuality and efficient task management in a fast-paced setting.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn new skills, and familiarity with lean manufacturing or process optimization.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and the physical ability to handle wood products, machine components, and complete the essential duties of a shop-based position.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member within a team environment.
• Familiarity with secondary finishing techniques (sanding, edging, polishing) is an asset.
