Position Overview

  • The Cluster General Manager is responsible for the overall strategic, operational, financial, and commercial performance of Movenpick Jumeirah Lakes Towers, voco Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Riva Beach Club, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong employee engagement and sustainable business per
  • The role requires a commercially driven and people focused leader who can successfully manage a multi property operation, drive synergies across hotels and lifestyle assets, maximize revenue opportunities, strengthen market positioning, and deliver outstanding results for owners and stakeholders.

Strategic Leadership & Business Performance

  • Develop and execute the overall business strategy for the cluster in alignment with owner expectations, UHM objectives, and hotel brand standards.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and business planning process, ensuring clear commercial strategies and operational priorities.
  • Drive profitability through effective cost management, revenue optimization, productivity improvement, and strategic decision making.
  • Identify new business opportunities and initiatives to enhance market share, profitability, and asset value.
  • Establish strong relationships with owners, brand representatives, key stakeholders, and business partners.

Operational Excellence & Guest Experience

  • Provide leadership oversight to all operational departments ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences across all properties.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, quality assurance requirements, health & safety regulations, and operational policies.
  • Drive guest satisfaction initiatives and foster a culture where service excellence is embedded in daily operations.
  • Review operational performance metrics, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure effective collaboration between Rooms, F&B, Engineering, Finance, Sales & Marketing, HR, and other support functions.

Commercial & Revenue Growth

  • Work closely with Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management teams to maximize revenue opportunities across rooms, F&B, events, and leisure segments.
  • Strengthen market positioning of Movenpick JLT, voco JLT, and Riva Beach Club through innovative commercial strategies.
  • Leverage cluster synergies, shared resources, and cross selling opportunities.
  • Drive F&B profitability, outlet performance, and lifestyle positioning of Riva Beach Club.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and business intelligence to ensure proactive commercial decisions.

People Leadership & Culture

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high performing leadership team across the three assets.
  • Build a culture of engagement, accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
  • Ensure effective succession planning and talent development across key positions.
  • Promote UHM’s people first approach, recognizing achievements and empowering colleagues to deliver excellence.
  • Partner closely with HR to drive engagement, employee experience, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

Owner & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain strong communication and trust based relationships with ownership representatives.
  • Provide regular updates on business performance, operational priorities, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment between operational execution and ownership expectations.
  • Protect and enhance the long term value of the assets.

Financial Management

  • Take ownership of overall P&L performance for the cluster.
  • Drive achievement of budgeted revenues, GOP, EBITDA, and financial targets.
  • Ensure effective cost controls while maintaining service quality.
  • Review financial reports, identify trends, and implement action plans to improve performance.

Compliance, Risk & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, brand, and company requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of operational governance, audit readiness, and risk management.
  • Promote a safe working environment for colleagues and guests.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of hospitality experience, with significant experience as a General Manager / Cluster General Manager in upscale or luxury hotels.
  • Proven experience managing multiple hotels and/or lifestyle assets in UAE.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success in improving financial performance.
  • Strong understanding of Rooms, F&B operations, revenue management, and owner relations.
  • Experience managing diverse teams and driving cultural transformation.
