Role Overview

Cloud Operations Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain cloud-based solutions with DevOps Core and development teams.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, services, and software applications.
• Implement monitoring and alerting for application and infrastructure availability and performance.
• Respond to incidents and restore cloud infrastructure, service, and application operations promptly.
• Automate provisioning and deployment with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and related tools.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
• Perform infrastructure maintenance, updates, and patches.

Security and Collaboration

• Collaborate with development and security teams to implement cloud security, compliance, and governance best practices.
• Provide 24/7 support for cloud infrastructure and applications.

Education and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required.
• The role requires 3–6 years of relevant experience in software, cloud platform, cloud application operations, or development projects in an agile service-management environment.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, monitoring, logging, alerting, and application operations is required.

Technical Qualifications

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or another cloud platform; Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes and proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Proficiency in Linux, Unix tools, Azure DevOps, Git, and cloud security operations.
• Knowledge of Terraform or ARM on Azure and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline design is preferred.

Work Schedule

• The role requires willingness to work rotational 8.5-hour shifts, including bank holidays and weekends.
