Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Build and configure enterprise APIs, microservices integrations, and gateway routing rules.
• Configure APIM policies for authentication, rate limiting, response caching, transformation, and error handling.
• Implement OAuth, JWT, API keys, and managed identities to protect endpoints.
• Build and maintain deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Track performance, analyze logs, and troubleshoot traffic bottlenecks using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

Required Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 2–4 years of hands-on Azure API Management experience.
• Deep understanding of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, XML, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Proficiency in backend technologies such as C#/.NET Core, Java/Spring Boot, or Node.js.
• Knowledge of Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps, SSL/TLS, DNS, and VNet integration.
