Clinical Assistant

WELL Health Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Assistant (CA) to join our healthcare team.

The CA will work collaboratively with the physician to provide high-quality patient care, assist with clinical procedures, and support the delivery of efficient medical services.

What you will be doing:

• Conduct patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations

• Diagnose and manage common medical conditions under physician supervision

• Treating both acute and chronic concerns in collaboration with the supervising physician

• Develop and implement patient treatment plans

• Prescribe medications in accordance with regulatory guidelines

• Assist physician during procedures and surgeries

• Providing wound care, freezing warts, performing PAP tests , immunizations, Mantoux tests

• Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care

• Counselling patients about their health conditions, prevention, and healthy lifestyles, educate patients on screenings as per the provincial screening guidelines

• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

• Collaborate with the physician and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings

You have:

• Eligible for licensure/registration in Ontario, Canada

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Previous experience in family medicine.

• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
