Role Overview
Altrad are currently looking for a Client Services Manager to join the team based anywhere within the UK. The successful candidate will lead the development and growth of Altrad’s Rail sector by identifying new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships and coordinating the pursuit of contracts and frameworks. Key Deliverables: Own and maintain visibility of the Rail sector pipeline, ensuring priority pursuits have clear actions, owners, timescales and management reporting Develop and maintain productive relationships with rail clients, infrastructure owners, principal contractors, procurement teams and strategic partners Identify, qualify and develop Rail sector opportunities from early client engagement and pre-positioning through PQQ, EOI, RFI, framework and tender stages Lead pursuit and proposal coordination across client services, proposals, estimating, commercial, operations and specialist service lines Shape client value propositions, delivery approaches and commercial positioning, ensuring opportunities align with Altrad capability, risk appetite and Rail sector growth plans Represent Altrad at client meetings, evaluations, workshops, conferences and industry events Coordinate bid mobilisation, reviews, clarifications, approvals and post-submission engagement, resolving blockers and maintaining momentum Provide concise executive updates, strategic presentations and pre-read material covering progress, risks, decisions and required actions Actively keeping abreast of current rail industry trends including competitor and client activity. Bringing to the Client Services Director, Vice Presidents and Business Unit Directors attention to any new opportunities, ideas or suggestions that will drive progress in line with the business long term growth strategy Support mobilisation and delivery readiness by aligning scope, resource requirements, partner roles, client expectations and lessons learned Key Requirements / Qualifications: 5+ years in a business development, client services, project management or bid management within the Rail sector Strong knowledge of the UK Rail sector, framework lifecycles, clients, supply chain, procurement routes and market drivers Commercially aware, strategically minded and confident challenging risk, scope and delivery assumptions Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, presentation and senior-level communication skills Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple client accounts and pursuits Autonomous and accountable, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority Degree or equivalent industry experience desirable
