Position Summary
Accounts payable and finance accounting role supporting hotel financial recordkeeping and cash-control operations.
The position is classified as full time, non-management, and not remotely located.
Financial Responsibilities
- Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
- Maintain financial records using journals, ledgers, and computerized financial information.
- Complete period-end closing procedures and reports.
- Audit cashier banks and manage petty cash, cashier banks, contracts, and cash variances.
- Liaise with the armored car service or primary banking institution.
- Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
General Responsibilities
- Follow company policies and procedures and maintain professional appearance.
- Protect confidential information, company assets, and guest and coworker privacy and security.
- Communicate clearly, prepare accurate documents, answer telephones professionally, and support team goals.
- Maintain positive working relationships and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
- Move and handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
