Cleaners Environmental Services Multiple Part Time and Casual Positions Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers EA 2025-2027 - Classification, salary (IN18 upon commencement, then move to IN19 upon obtaining three months experience) (excludes allowances) (Junior rates apply to employees aged under 19 years) Exciting opportunities have arisen to join the Environmental Services Team at West Gippsland Healthcare Group. Reporting to Environmental Services Supervisors, roles provide cleaning services throughout hospital buildings and other facilities. These positions support a clean, pleasant and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff supports all WGHG campuses. We are seeking applications from motivated, experienced and enthusiastic people to undertake a variety of cleaning duties to support environmental services and our stakeholders in a busy healthcare environment, with a willingness to accept challenges and working within a large team. These positions are for multiple permanent part-time applicants for regular rostered hours per fortnight, available Monday-Friday with some weekend work . Casual opportunities are also available. Additional hours may be offered if available. We offer a friendly, team focused work environment, comprehensive orientation to the department and organisation, in house salary packaging and free car parking. Our preferred candidate will have a responsible and mature work attitude and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety obligations. Desirable but not essential Skills & Experience include Experience in cleaning, Understanding of Infection Control standards. Our preferred candidate will have to: Maintain hard floor surfaces /soft floor surfaces (Carpet) and Scrub and Polish floors. Cleaning of walls/ceilings/fans and furniture. Cleaning of showers/toilets/sinks/basins/bath and mirrors. Clean inside windows and glass. Clean and change beds and trolleys Changing of screens and curtains. Clean touch points, (light switches, power points, patient call bell, door handles and hand rails). Collect waste from wards, offices, clinical or other site buildings and place in the pan room or waste collection area. Collect filled linen skips from clinical areas and place in pan room or designated area. Ensures disposal of soiled linen and waste is carried out according to Infection Control and Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines.
